Georgian Group Psychotherapy Association (GGPA) is a voluntary, non-governmental, social-professional organization. It unites psychotherapists, clinical psychologists and a person of any other professions who are interested in these sciences. The association attempts to promote development of Group psychotherapy, raise the professional level of specialists, train skilled therapists, develop the national traditions and introduce various approaches of the group psychotherapy and put them into practice.
The Association functions according to the Georgian Civil Law, international legislative standards and its own constitution based on the standards and regulations of International Association of Group Psychotherapy (IAGP).
The GGPA agrees to abide by International Association of Group Psychotherapy (IAGP) rules and standards.
The Association is the juridical person. It has independent balance, stamp, symbol, emblem and other requisites of juridical person.
The Association has a right to become a member of other international associations and organizations.

The founders of Association are:
- Natroshvili Nino – Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist;
- Kandelaki Nino – Clinical Psychologist;
- Makhashvili Keti – Clinical Psychologist;
- Kechkhouashvili Manana – Clinical Psychologist;
- Korinteli Revaz – Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist.
The highest administration organ of the Association is the General Meeting (GM) of the members of the association, which is held at least once a year. It will indicate the basic direction of the GGPA. It will elect the Governing Board for four years. Only the GM shall alter changes to the statutes of the GGPA. The decision of the GM shall be determined on the basis of one vote per member of the GM and by simple majority of votes cast. Any change in the statutes of constitution must be made by the GM with two thirds of the votes cast.
The Governing Board shall carry out the decisions and policies of the GGPA. During the financial year and between the GMs the Governing Board shall have the power to manage the activities of the GGPA. The Governing Board shall consist of basic members. The GM can enroll other members. The Governing Board may call an Extraordinary General Meeting at any time.
Presidency. The General Meeting of the association members elects a president from the basic members for four year. Re-election is possible. The president directs current affairs of the association, convokes meetings of the Governing Board and presents the association at official measures. The President or his/her substitute will chair the GM.
Board: The GGPA Board consists of members elected by the General Meeting.

Makashvili Keti – Clinical Psychologist;
Kechkhuashvili Manana – Clinical Psychologist;
Nino Menteshashvili – Psychologist;
Nino Siradze – Psychologist.
Members: App. 20 persons.
The association consists of:
- Supportive Members;
- Basic Members;
- Honorary Members;
- Candidates of becoming Basic Members.
Supportive Member shall be a person whose personal efforts and /or financial support promote the interest of GGPA;
Basic Member must be a person who has an academic degree in medicine or psychology or equivalent training as a psychotherapist and who mainly works in the field of psychotherapy and clinical psychology.
Honorary Member shall be a person appointed by the Governing Board. Honorary Members have no voting rights.
Candidates of becoming Basic Member shall be a person who has not complete medical or psychology degree or who has any other professions degree but who is interested in working in the field of group psychotherapy.
